Craig S. Nuss was born in Brush, Colorado, June 23, 1960; admitted to bar, 1988, Colorado. Education - University of Colorado at Boulder (B.S., 1982); University of Denver (J.D., 1988). Phi Alpha Delta (Treasurer, 1986). Editor-in-Chief, Transportation Law Journal, 1987-1988. Member - American, Colorado, Arapahoe County and Douglas County Bar Associations; Defense Research Institute; Colorado Defense Lawyers Association - Treasurer, 1996 - 1997, Vice President, 1998- 1999, President, 1999-2000; American Board of Trial Advocates; Colorado Super Lawyers 2007 and 2008.
Mr. Nuss has been practicing in insurance litigation since 1989. His practice is focused on defending insureds and defendants in personal injury, commercial and construction defect litigation. Since 1989, he has tried over 70 civil jury trials in courts all across Colorado. Mr. Nuss has served as an arbitrator in insurance subrogation and uninsured motorist cases. Before attending law school, he worked in the claims department of the United States Life Insurance Company in New York City. Mr. Nuss has taught civil procedure and evidence to paralegal students, as well as continuing legal education courses to attorneys on topics of insurance and trial tactics.
